Weight lifting can play a role in determining Hiatal hernias, either as an activity or as part of the daily routine. Lifting a large weight raises the pressure below the diaphragm that is in the abdomen, but the pressure above the diaphragm increases at the same time that is in the chest.
There has been no known source for most Hiatal hernias making it more asymptomatic. A variety of causes of hiatal hernia can be associated with weight lifting. Both potential causes of a hiatal hernia are lifting heavy weights, suffering an abdomen fracture, and straining. All variables could be compatible with weight lifting—a weakness in the diaphragm wall may be caused by straining the abdominal muscles, forming a cavity.
Other risk factors for developing this form of hernia include becoming overweight, getting a forceful or recurrent cough, or placing excessive pressure on the abdominal region because of tight clothing or belts. Thus, hiatal hernia can be caused by lifting heavy objects but in the wrong way. If the weight is lifted in a correct way which would not induce any pressure on the diaphragm or the chest then you are free from the danger of hiatal hernia.
