Why do People Get Submandibular Gland Excision and Ranula surgery?

How Does the Procedure Work?

Before Surgery

• Evaluation and diagnosis: The first step is to undergo a thorough examination with a doctor, potentially followed by certain tests such as ultrasound or MRI to correctly diagnose the condition and frame the best treatment plan.
• Preparation for surgery: If the patient will receive general anesthesia, they may be instructed to not consume any food or drink for a certain period before the procedure.
